Curtis Paradis and the Community Day in Redwood Shores

Written by Paperpin on . Posted in The Sims 3 Seasons

ts3 ep8_cover_engSoo, among the things I have to do today for the site about Supernatural and Seasons, I found a video I really liked about the Community Day that took place in Redwood Shores a few days ago, and I think you should totally watch it!

I'm talking about Curtis Paradis, 21yo from Canada who loves videogames and The Sims and that was among the lucky 14 that made it to the EA Studios in California. If you want to get an idea of the awesomeness of that day, be sure to check out his YouTube Channel and his website!

Also, Curtis will be hosting a live chat on next Monday (August 6th) from 1 p.m. (Central Time) and you'll be able to ask him questions about Supernatural, Seasons and his trip to Redwood Shores.

Written by Paperpin on . Posted in The Sims 3 Seasons

For those of you (including me) who were wondering about the specs for The Sims 3 Seasons, SimGuruGraham commented on Twitter:

We aren’t raising the min spec for Seasons. The detail of the weather effects scales across different hardware so that everyone can enjoy the experience.

So, considered that the declared minimum requirements are:
  • OS: XP SP2 / Vista SP1 / Windows 7
  • CPU: For XP 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent; For Windows Vista and Windows 7 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
  • RAM: For XP 1 GB RAM / Windows Vista and Windows 7 1.5 GB RAM*
  • DISC DRIVE: DVD drive
  • HARD DRIVE: At least 3.5 GB** of hard drive space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved games.
  • VIDEO: 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
For NVIDIA ION™ computers, the game requires at least 2.0 GB RAM.
  • 9.6 GB of hard drive space if installing with The Sims™ 3.
  • SUPPORTED VIDEO CARDS: Nvidia GeForce 6 series or better, and all NVidia G, GT, GTS, and GTX video cards. ATI Radeon™ series card 9500 series or better, and all ATI X, X1, and HD video cards; Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA): GMA 3-Series, GMA 4-Series
Please note that the GeForce 6100 and 7100 cards are not supported.
We definitely suggest, if you want to add Seasons to your game and already have other EPs installed, to check your computer configuration and make sure you DO surpass the minimum requirements.
